Job Description
The carpenter works within the maintenance and construction team in a mining environment. They participate in the construction, repair, and maintenance of wooden structures, formwork, walkways, and buildings related to mining operations.
Mains Responsibilities
- Build, repair, and install structures, platforms, stairs, ramps, and wooden or composite frameworks;
- Read and interpret plans, sketches, and technical specifications;
- Perform formwork, concreting, and finishing work as required;
- Safely operate carpentry equipment and tools;
- Strictly adhere to the health, safety, and environmental standards of the mining site;
- Collaborate with other trades on maintenance or construction projects.
Experiences, Skills and Education
- Vocational diploma (DEP) in carpentry or equivalent training;
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial or mining construction;
- Good physical condition and ability to work in underground or remote environments;
- Knowledge of safety standards in the mining sector;
- Team spirit, autonomy, and attention to detail.
