Job description
Under the supervision of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue team, the estimating project manager is responsible for planning, developing, and executing all stages of internal projects, whether in the workshop or in connection with various job sites. They are also in charge of the bidding process for the fabrication and installation of industrial components at different sites. The estimating project manager plays a key role in cost evaluation and project planning. They review blueprints, specifications, and other documents to provide accurate estimates of the time, materials, and resources required to complete the work.
Your main responsibilities
- Manage multiple internal projects, both in the workshop and on-site;
- Monitor projects using MS Project (scheduling);
- Coordinate all stages for client projects;
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors assigned to projects;
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients;
- Ensure optimal management of timelines, budgets, and scope review processes;
- Support company safety audits and inspections;
- Receive, process, and analyze requests for quotes and tender documents for ongoing projects;
- Assess client needs based on received plans, drawings, sketches, or specifications;
- Consult suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and compare prices;

Prepare and submit budget proposals while meeting deadlines.
Education
DEC, DEP, or AEC in project or construction estimating, industrial drafting, engineering, or relevant experience.
Experience
2 to 3 years in a relevant field (project management, estimation, cost calculations, industrial construction).
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite;
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and teamwork.
