Job Description

Under the supervision of the Electrical Supervisor, the Instrumentation and Control Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming of electrical and instrumentation equipment. You will work closely with the electrical team to ensure equipment reliability and operational continuity.

Mains Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation equipment (gas probes, seismometers, accelerometers, piezometers, communication systems);
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment (variable speed drives, intelligent motor controllers, motors, transformers, lighting, etc.);
  • Conduct troubleshooting and programming via PLCs, operator interfaces, and industrial networks;
  • Work with a maintenance management system using work orders;
  • Adhere to company safety and operational standards;
  • Actively participate in equipment reliability processes.

Experiences, Skills and Education

  • DEC or AEC in Electrical Engineering Technology – Automation and Control, or equivalent training;
  • C License (asset);
  • Minimum 5 years of experience;
  • Knowledge of Schneider Control Expert, ABB Automation Builder, Aveva System Platform (formerly Wonderware), and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to handle electrical equipment up to 50 lb;
  • Willingness to work in underground environments;
  • Attention to detail, autonomy, and team spirit.
