Job description
Under the supervision of the foreman/project manager, the Fixed Industrial Mechanic / Millwright supports the site team by providing quality, confidential technical support.
Main responsibilities
- Read mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plans and schematics;
- Install, adjust, inspect, and repair fixed industrial machinery or mineral processing equipment;
- Perform piping work on site;
- Operate various lifting devices and equipment;
- Perform preventive maintenance and intervene during planned shutdowns on mining sites;
- Perform manual and semi-automatic welding, brazing, and metalwork;
- Manufacture parts necessary for maintenance, repair, and machine assembly;
- Participate in project planning and execution while ensuring quality and safety standards;
- Perform quality checks;
- Assume any other responsibilities that may arise from this job.
Requirements
- DEP in Industrial Mechanics, Welding-Assembly, or equivalent experience;
- 1–10 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in mills, crushers, or other fixed industrial plants;
- ASP Construction card;
- CWB cards (4 positions) and high-pressure welding card (asset);
- Miner modules 1-2-3-4-5-7 (asset);
- Field experience on mining or industrial sites considered an asset;
- Interest and sensitivity to occupational health and safety;
- Fluent in french (oral and written); english is an asset.
