Job Summary :
The overhead crane technician ensures the proper functioning of lifting systems to maintain safety and efficiency in industrial operations. The candidate will be required to respond to service calls, perform system start-ups, install electrical and mechanical components, troubleshoot, and carry out regular inspections on all types of lifting equipment (overhead cranes, monorails, jib cranes, gantries, etc.).
Main Responsibilities :
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on overhead cranes and lifting equipment at client sites
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures
- Inspect lifting systems to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Carry out and complete installation and equipment upgrade projects
- Gather necessary information for parts ordering and work planning
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at client sites
- Prepare and provide clients with properly completed inspection reports
- Represent the company with clients and partners
- Enter data and information collected during inspections into computer systems
- Collaborate with production and safety teams to optimize equipment usage
- Conduct load and mechanical tests according to engineering guidelines
- Contribute to the development of the lifting equipment department
Skills and Qualifications Required :
- Education : Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in electricity, electromechanics, or other relevant training
- Experience : 1 to 3 years of experience in lifting equipment maintenance (overhead cranes, hoists, cranes)
- Technical Skills :
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams
- Knowledge of safety standards in lifting and handling operations
- Other Skills :
- Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Autonomy and thoroughness in task execution
- Good communication and team spirit
