Job Description – Welder
Under the supervision of the foreman/project manager, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the on-site team. In this role, you will collaborate with other welders and tradespeople, providing high-quality and confidential technical support in the field.
Mains Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work plans and technical documents;
- Plan the various steps involved in welding tasks;
- Determine and implement the required welding processes;
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding tools;
- Operate metalworking machines (e.g., shears, press brakes);
- Weld and braze metals to fabricate products or infrastructure;
- Weld and braze metals to repair products or infrastructure.
Experiences, Skills and Education
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Welding and Fitting;
- 1 to 10 years of welding experience;
- ASP Construction card;
- CWB certification (4 positions);
- High-pressure welding certification is an asset;
- Field experience (construction site) is an asset;
- Strong interest in and commitment to occupational health and safety;
- Fluency in spoken and written French; English is an asset.
